I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys collecting music bootlegs or has any interest in learning more about them! This is an extremely detailed and comprehensive "inside view" of the methods, actions, and thought processes of the people behind most of the bootlegs made for the first several years of this phenomenon's history. I couldn't put it down.

1 disc - A home tape Paul made for his girlfriend Kathy in England, probably in late 1964. Very interesting! Paul plays and sings several songs, mostly alone, but a few with Art (whom he calls 'Artie'), and he talks periodically for narration, and about various things. - The sound quality is reasonably good considering that this recording might have undergone a number of generations on cassette before being converted to CD. Some tracks seem to end prematurely, and I'm not sure if they were this way originally or not. The sound level is rather low, and of course there is significant tape hiss

AC/DC; "Rare...Rarer...Rarities" 1 disc (Studio soundboard, 60 min.) This disc is very interesting. The first 2 tracks sound so different from AC/DC's signature style that you'll be shocked. Almost like Lynyrd Skynyrd's sound. Sounds like Angus on guitar, but someone else is on lead vocals - it can't be Bon Scott. Track 3 starts out sounding like Rush or Styx in my opinion, and turns into a slow ballad .. the first time I've heard Bon Scott sing anything like this. The rest of the tracks sound like the AC/DC we know and love - FANTASTIC sound quality!

[It's a great selection, not least because of the fabulous acoustic version of All Down The Line, which bears little resemblance to the standard version]
